What is Minefield honey

It’s a project aimed to assist Ukrainian small farmers in collecting funds for the humanitarian demining of their lands, by producing and selling unique honey.

Ukraine is the most heavily mined country in the world. Whole agricultural sector is struggling a lot. Small farmers' incomes have drastically declined, and the queue for government-funded demining can take decades.

Our project transforms mined lands into an asset that generates income for demining itself.

How it works

Bees are the only workers able to work on the mined land. We just set up everything for them.

We sell honey under the “Minefield Honey” trademark.

Formula: Price for a jar of honey = Size of the field x demining cost per hectare / amount of honey collected

Safety Issues

The project is developed with all safety measures in mind to minimize human contact with mined areas.
The honey undergoes certification not only in Ukraine but also in the countries where it is sold, ensuring it is completely safe for consumption.
